This Common Fertilizer Mistake Is RUINING Your Garden's Productivity!

In today's 2 minute garden tip, I discuss a common fertilizer mistake that may be ruining your garden's productivity. When fertilizing your garden, it is important to choose the correct fertilizers with the right balance of nutrients to support the type of plant you're growing. Failure to apply the correct fertilizers can result in poor growth, lack of flowering and poor fruit production. Many gardeners see poor results due to improper fertilizing. Fertilizers predominantly consist of three macro-nutrients: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K). These three elements make up the N-P-K ratio, which are the percentages by weight of each macro-nutrient found in the fertilizer. These macro-nutrients have different effects on the plant, and the NPK ratio can determine whether plants dedicate most of their energy to leafy green growth, flowers and fruiting, or root growth. Pair the proper fertilizer with the proper plants at the proper time or you can see reduced harvests.
