This is the channel that allows for your blood to be extracted from your body, passed through a filter, through a #dialysis machine and then returned back. There are several types of #vascularaccess: • Arteriovenous fistula (AV-fistula) • Synthetic tube, or graft • Central venous catheter (CVC) Having the right access is essential – check out our latest #PatientEducation video to learn more. 2022 #WorldKidneyDay was dedicated to ‘Bridging the knowledge gap to better kidney care’, a cause that #Diaverum is proud to lend its voice to.
