It's been a crazy week in the shop! This video is a SPECIAL "FULL NOISE" EDITION that gives you a full 10+ uninterrupted minutes of pure heavy duty machining with the biggest bar in our shop "THE BEAST" (featured on a previous video "THE BIG GUNS") The sound is left at 100% so you can hear exactly what I hear when running this monster, and there's a bunch of extra footage left out last time. In my humble opinion, the sound of Carbide vs 4140 steel is about as sweet as it gets... and this bar just goes HARD! Tools we're using: 1) The KRAKEN. A shop made 110mm custom HTS style tool to drill over 500mm deep. This is the first time we've ever run this crazy tool... and it's an absolute weapon. 2) THE BEAST. Our biggest, baddest and newest metal monster. 95mm in diameter fitted with a Kennametal KM80 head. It's a fully shop made tool with through coolant and capable of boring up to half a meter deep!
