Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Les canots amarrés’ will lead Christie’s 20th / 21st Century Inaugural Evening Sale at The Henderson on 26 September in Hong Kong. This masterpiece from the Royal Bourbon-Two Sicily Collection was unseen for three decades. Painted at Asnières when Van Gogh was just 34 years old, this landscape captures the stylistic lessons the artist absorbed while in the suburbs of Paris.
