Here’s a snippet from my dvd ‘RHP - Live in Zoetermeer’ and this track is called ‘Your Truth’ - written by Peter Fernandes. This track originally appeared on Peter’s cd ‘Q.E.D.’ with Gary Husband on drums, Jimmy Johnson - bass and Jason Roze - vocals. Jason did a great part singing this track and the most difficult part for me was to try to copy his vocal track to guitar somehow and make each vowel, vibrato and slur count. And so I practiced this for months in every way imaginable, with vocals, without vocals, with backing track, dry, with whammy bar, without… quite the challenge! The solo changes are also quite challenging, although they sound very natural, they are actually pretty hard to play over, moving up a half step or down in a pretty fast and unpredictable pace. The band did a great job here. With really no rehearsal time and after two years of sitting home with corona, getting onstage for the first time with the pressure of recording a live dvd they just nailed this track 🙏.
