The complete playlist can be found here:    • Handplane Challenge   This is a faceoff between two Chaplin's Patent handplanes, made by Tower and Lyon company. The first is an original patent plane, made sometime between 1887 and 1900, and the second is an improved patent plane, made between 1902 and 1914. Both are smoothing planes roughly equivalent to a Stanley #4. The results were somewhat surprising, but you'll have to watch the video to find out why.
