Authorities later announced they were prepared to assume control of the camp and nearby prisons. Syria’s transitional government said on Tuesday that it had reached a mutual understanding with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), setting a four-day period to address details of the mechanism for integration. It added that if an agreement is reached, government forces will halt their advance into the city centres of Hasakah and Qamishli.
