Alaska video # 1. In this video we visited Kenai Fjords National Park, port of Seward and spectacular show of calving tidewater Northwestern Glacier. Seward is Alaska' ice free , deep water port in Resurrection Bay, it also is southern terminus of Alaska Railroad and historic starting point of the original Iditarod Trail. Kenai Fjords National Park comprises the Harding Icefield with outflowing glaciers , fjords and islands. Northwestern glacier is tidewater calving glacier , the largest tide water glacier is Bear Glacier. Exit Glacier is the only glacier accessible by road at the north end of the park. Kenai Fjords N.P. is extensively glaciated , with 51% of the park covered by ice. The Harding Icefield receives 60ft (18 m) of snowfall per year. The park is teaming with wildlife which includes timber wolf, lynx, brown and black bear, moose, mountain goat, coyote, beaver, river otter, sea otter, harbor seal, Steller sea lion, orca, fin and humpback whales minke wheals, Dall"s porpoise and Pacific white-sided dolphin. Birds include bald eagle, peregrine falcon, black-billed magpie, Steller jay, tufted and horned puffin, common and thick-billed murre and marbled murrelets.
