Running the New Wolfe Ridge 17XS at the Firewood Frenzy! The Fastest Wolfe Ridge Log Splitter!

I attended the 2025 Midwest Firewood Frenzy, held in Eau Claire, WI at the Wolfe Ridge Manufacturing grounds. I was able to meet and talk to many fellow wood hounds and see some awesome equipment. One of the highlights, was seeing and splitting firewood with the all new 17XS! I believe this new splitter is now the fastest splitter that Wolfe Ridge makes and has a cycle time of 4.5 seconds! It sure was cool being able to run it. This version was a prototype model in case you notice anything different from the production models. It has parts from the 17RS and 22Rs. I also got some footage of the new Versa Split 2224 skid steer log splitter tackling a huge stubborn Maple round. Last but not least I ran a 35 HO for the first time splitting some Red Oak firewood, what an impressive and strong machine.
