While it's definitely man made, I find the landscape created by the Bingham Canyon Mine full of color and absolutely astounding in size. At more than 2.5 miles wide and 3,900 feet deep, it's the world's largest open pit copper mine. As you watch, try to spot the immense earth moving trucks that look like ants marching along the far wall. Those trucks have 12 foot tall tires and are 51 feet long!
