*New Allocation* Journey on Bus Route 175 (HV178 | BJ14 KSV) [1/2]

In this video, I ride the 175 from Romford Shopping Centre to around Becontree Heath. The 175 has recently received its new allocation is 14-plate hybrids from off of the 34/141, and they look striking on the route. I got HV178 in this one, a bus I have taken before actually on the 141. I can't remember it sounding THIS bad. I mean, if you listen from around 2:40 when the engine kicks in, it sounds absolutely horrid. Like, for real, some DWs sound better than that. It kind of sounds like a rattling tin. No hate on these buses by the way, I love them, but this unit was not it... As for the ride quality and everything else really, it was smooth. These buses are ex-Stagecoach buses hence why the interior has some of their design language in it. Not sure why they became Arriva owned, though... I can't wait for the 150/175 to fully convert. Although these aren't routes I take loads, I've taken them enough times on their old allocation to be welcome to seeing what their new allocations have to offer - hopefully other units sound healthier tho. As for the routeing, quite dull, the 175 is. I mean, there's not much to really comment on, but it can get quite zippy on Dagenham Road after Queen's Hospital, so there's that. But I could say the same about a lot of Romford routes to be fair, like the 165/365. Nothing really interesting going on with them, either. 175 bus rating: 7/10 DX* - Barking Bus Garage (operated out of here) Gemini 3s it now uses were transferred from AD* (Palmers Green), and some of them are in AR* (Tottenham garage), though I'm not sure if these will get transferred to as they are currently for routes 41 & 123...
