I purchased model DW80R5061U in July 2022 but wasn’t installed until November 2022 due to new house build. I had been using the dishwasher daily for 1 year exactly before I had to file multiple claims with “LC” code issue and make numerous phone calls to claim department, take multiple days off work to meet technicians to work the claim. The process is as follows: Sensor gets replaced works about 2/4 cycles and code flashing again. This code is a warning for a leak near electrical. However when technicians would come out there was “NO” leak EVER detected. This error would NOT occur during a cycle. It would just randomly come on. When this would occur the machine would function as if it were draining water from the machine. Luckily I was home the last time it did this and noticed my power on that side of the house was surging. Got up to see what could be causing the issue and it was the dishwasher with this “LC” code flashing and attempting to pump water. The only way to stop this is by shutting off the breaker. After breaker being off for a few days and turned back on the dishwasher would function through a couple of wash cycles. All of this had been discussed when filling a claim other than the power surge which was not discovered until the last time the unit was flashing the error code. I never turned the breaker back on. I purchased a 5 year protection plan in July 2022. The first year of ownership the manufacturer was responsible if there were any issues. There were “NO” issues the first year of use. The 2nd year is when the protection plan took effect if there needed to be a claim filed. I have delt with this “ASSURANCE” protection plan which is a joke, waste of money and will continue to have different terms and conditions with each claims representative. Sales representative at Lowe’s assured me that if the same issue occurred three times that “ASSURANCE” protection plan would replace the unit. This is not how the changing terms and conditions apply. I do not put the blame of this issue on Lowe’s but I hold the “ASSURANCE” Protection Plan company as fraudulent. I plan to seek legal council and hopefully this can become a class action lawsuit against “ASSURANCE “ protection company. So if you to have been fraudulently defamed due to the negligence of taking responsibility by “ASSURANCE “ protection plan by not paying out to claims that have compensation owed to the purchaser for loss of use of product being insured and not being able to be repaired due to multiple issues with one specific issue where claim had been filed. So be aware before purchasing the extra protection plan. I will NEVER purchase a Samsung Dishwasher again either.
