A Journey on horse back deep into the Wilderness where the water starts for the Gros Ventre River just east of Jackson Hole Wyoming. Episode 1 I have been wanting to do this trip for a long time and this was the year to do it. With the help of Gros Ventre Wilderness Outfitters we would head deep into the wilderness to find just where the water starts for this river. I have been told it is a high mountain basin with lakes and streams where it starts. I know I had to go there to see for myself a place where not many people ever go. The Gros Ventre Wilderness area which has 285,619 acres in it is located just north of Pinedale Wyoming, East of Jackson Hole Wyoming and just south of Yellowstone Park.
