Tare tråling or seaweed dredging is one of the most destructive and environmentaly damaging activities currently occuring in the western world. It is causing shifts in fish populations, destruction of habitat, destruction of sea defenses and coastal erosion. There is also a possibility that it is connected with the enormous influx of Ulva specis seaweed on the French and English coasts by removing the main factor in reducing phostpates and nitrogen in the sea.. Seaweed is the lungs and liver of the sea - the sea is far too important to us all to be endangered by companies seeking cheap infills for cakes, biscuits and pills, particurlarily when seaweed is grown by many other countries where it is a major industry. This is OUR SEA, it belongs to us all, not a board of directors whose only interest is financial. This video is in Norwegian and is presented and written by Johan Breivik.
