You must use the OSMPSL routine to approach. Once signalling, adopt the correct road position and reduce speed in plenty of time. As you approach the junction look early to assess any hazards. For turning left into a side road, you will normally position slightly left of centre in the left wheel track. However you should be aware of road surface hazards i.e. drain covers, leaves, loose gravel and parked vehicles. Remain aware of what is behind you as you may encounter overtaking traffic as you are reducing speed.
