This video is about the value of time in Islam. It reflects on how precious time is, a fact we hear constantly from our parents, teachers, and friends. Even our inner nature reminds us of this when we procrastinate and feel anxious for delaying our duties. Life is passing quickly, and often we prioritize trivial matters over what truly matters. The speaker recalls when he was 14 and a friend told him, “In 100 years, not a single person alive today will remain.” This thought can lead one to question the point of studying, working, or even living. But the Qur’an reminds us that Allah did not create us in vain. Everything in creation—the sun, moon, animals, and humans—shows a design and purpose, proving there is a Creator behind it all. Every human has a limited amount of time, though none knows when it will end. Time is our most valuable asset, yet people perceive it differently. For some, time equals money, family, health, or pleasure. However, all these are temporary. Money cannot buy love, true happiness, or more time. Many who chase wealth their whole lives end up alone, losing relationships and even themselves in the process. Islam doesn’t forbid earning but emphasizes prioritizing time and using it wisely. The Qur’an reminds us of death—not to depress us, but to motivate us to live purposefully. On the Day of Judgment, people will feel that their time on earth was like “a day or less.” Everyone will be asked about their youth, health, wealth, and how they spent them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “There are two blessings most people take for granted: health and free time.” Many today waste these blessings on idle talk, social media, or useless pastimes. Every gathering should include remembrance of Allah; otherwise, it is deprived of good. This video highlights how wasting time leads to regret in this world and the Hereafter, where every second will be accounted for. Our short time on earth is like a few hours in an exam hall—Allah provides opportunities, tests, and blessings. What matters is how we use them.
