In his second season with the Edmonton Elks, 2022 first-round pick Tre Ford took the reigns of the offence in week 10. The native of Niagara Falls, Ontario was a true dual-threat putting up 2069 yards in the air for 12 touchdowns and 622 yards on the ground for another 3 touchdowns. Ford's best ground game came in week 13 against the Calgary Stampeders where Ford broke the CFL record for most single-game rushing yards by a Canadian QB with 135. Prior to the Elks, Ford played for the University of Waterloo Warriors where he won several awards such as the U Sports Rookie of the Year, OUA MVP, U Sports All-Canadian, Hec Crighton, and the Lois and Doug Mitchell Award.
