"Utsuriyuku Toki no Naka (うつりゆく時の中)", 1990. Zinx formed in 1989. In September of 1990, the group released its first demo "Utsuriyuku Toki no Naka (うつりゆく時の中)", and also appeared on the "Harem House" omnibus shortly after the demo was released. The demo was a massive success for the group, firmly positioning Zinx as one of the most promising first wave underground visual groups. In May of 1991, however, the group had its first lineup change when drummer Shingo left. He was soon replaced by Masahiro and in the summer of 1991, Zinx released its first VHS "Dai Ikki Shuuryou (第一期終了) 89~91)", which was another success for the group. In early 1992, Zinx had another lineup change when one of the guitarists, Koichiro, left. He was soon replaced by Hiroki and this lineup then made their debut in March of 1992 on the "Emergency Express 1992" omnibus. In July of 1992, Zinx released its first full length album "Irreplaceable XXX", which was a sensation in the early visual underground although in early 1993, the group had yet another lineup change when Hiroki left, and he would never be officially replaced with Zinx going on as a four-piece for the first time in its history. In July of 1993, Zinx released its first mini-album "[Empty.] For Empty Hearts...", which, while not as much of a hot seller as "Irreplaceable XXX", still had strong sales, and the group then appeared on the "Cry-Max Pleasure ~Break on Through to the Nuclear Bandits~" omnibus that September. By the fall of 1993, however, the group had noticeably slowed down activities, before unsurprisingly announcing its official disbandment on New Year's Eve 1993. Masahiro, as well as frontman Kai and bassist Katsu, all reunited with Hiroki and all four then immediately afterwards formed the indies group Rebirth, which would also split in 1995. Afterwards, Masahiro, Kai, Katsu and Hiroki then all retired from the visual scene. The sole guitarist of Zinx left in the final lineup, Masakaz, temporarily retired from the visual scene after Zinx split, but returned in 2000 as a member of the indies group Zima, although he would eventually leave the group in early 2001, and then seemed to have returned to his respective retirement.
