Hello friends! It’s time to prepare the log cabin walls for painting. But before applying the oil-based finish, I had to clean them completely. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to do it faster and easier. I tried many options — starting with an angle grinder, which turned out to be too slow and exhausting. Eventually, I decided to use a sandblaster — and that was the best choice for me. It’s much lighter and faster to work with. Sandblasting the entire cabin took me only four days, while doing it by hand with a grinder would have taken around twenty! To make this possible, I had to dry about half a ton of sand — but it was totally worth it. At the same time, I’ve started preparing for the upcoming winter. They say it will be a harsh one this year. I collected mushrooms from my forest, canned them, and carried them down to my cellar for storage. I also brought part of my harvest inside to keep it safe for the cold months ahead. After sandblasting, some small gaps appeared between the logs, so I’ll seal them with natural flax caulking rope to keep the cabin warm. Now the walls are finally clean and ready, and I can begin the interior work in a tidy and pleasant space. Next, I’ll start installing the floor and windows — so stay tuned, and see you soon! • Instagram: / bjorn_brenton • Patreon ( support the channel ): / bjornbrenton • Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
