Theodore Weiss Aircraft Crash Site Dunnellon, Florida The single-engine Sonex two-seater plane was discovered Oct. 19, 2014, by a hiker. Weiss' skeletal remains were strapped in the seat of the aircraft, which had crashed Saturday, April 05, 2014 near the Pruitt Trailhead in southwest Marion County, about 300 yards from County Road 484. It was not visible through dense oak trees.
