A VERY special Virtual Church from the largest School Chapel here in the UK, as well as one of the largest in the world - the Chapel of Lancing College in West Sussex. In this glorious chapel is a 4-manual Walker organ, along with a very capable 2-manual Frobenius organ and you'll hear both in today's VC. 14 hymns, 4 organ pieces, 2 organs, 2 organ demonstrations, a whole load of chat and high-quality pictures and videos of the chapel itself. What more could you ask for?? :) It was a real pleasure to record this organ, and I am deeply grateful to the verger of the Chapel - Andy Wynn-Mackenzie - for being so hospitable. 0:00:00 | Welcome to Lancing College 0:01:53 | All my hope on God is founded (Michael) 0:06:42 | I vow to thee my country (Thaxted) 0:11:47 | Blessed City, Heavenly Salem (Regent Square) 0:15:06 | Overview of the Great division 0:20:50 | Come down, O love divine (Down Ampney) 0:25:51 | Elgar - Solemn Prelude 'In memoriam' 0:34:16 | And can it be that I should gain (Sagina) 0:40:21 | O for a thousand tongues to sing (Lyngham) 0:46:33 | O God you search me and you know me 0:49:12 | Overview of the Swell division 0:55:10 | JS Bach - Prelude in E flat BWV 552 1:06:58 | God is working his purpose our (Benson) 1:11:00 | Let all the world in every corner sing (Luckington) 1:14:21 | Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine (Blessed assurance) 1:19:03 | God sent his Son, they call him Jesus (Because he lives) 1:24:06 | Demonstration of the 1986 Frobenius organ 1:26:33 | JS Bach - O Lamm Gottes, unschuldig 1:32:25 | O Jesus I have promised (Wolvercote) 1:36:57 | How shall I sing that majesty (Coe Fen) 1:42:03 | Overview of the Choir division 1:44:10 | Overview of the Pedal division 1:45:50 | Overview of the Bombarde division 1:47:10 | Guilmant - March on a theme by Handel 1:55:40 | Outtakes! ------------------------------------ PLEASE consider becoming a PATREON of BEAUTY IN SOUND to help secure our future.
