This course will discuss the potential impacts associated with building cleaning activities, and how these can be made more friendly to occupant health and the environment. Throughout the course we will attempt to address the following questions. First, what is green cleaning? And how does it differ from conventional cleaning practices? We will look at what products and chemicals should be avoided, as well as at what effects these products may have on indoor air quality. We will look briefly at how green cleaning procedures are addressed in the LEED green building rating system
