[RECIPE BELOW] Lupin Flour Cheddar Biscuits. The lupin flour makes these the closest thing I've had to proper southern style biscuits since being ketogenic. They have that ever so slight... sour(?) taste that I remember American biscuits having. They are super buttery and gorgeous with or without fillings/toppings. Please note, in the video I made half the amount. | The Recipe | MAIN INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup (50g) Lupin Flour 1 cup (100g) Almond Flour 1 tbsp Baking Powder 1 cup (113g) Cheddar Cheese, shredded 1/3 cup (75ml) Unsweetened Almond Milk 1/3 cup (76ml) Double/Heavy Cream 1/3 cup (75g) Salted Butter, melted 1 Egg TOPPING INGREDIENTS: 2 tbsp Salted Butter, melted 1/2 tsp Dried Parsley METHOD: 1. Preheat the oven to 200c/400f. Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. 2. In a large bowl, add flours, baking powder and cheese. Mix well. 3. In another medium bowl, add the almond milk, cream, butter and egg. Mix well. 4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined. 5. Using a large spoon, place 12 scoops of the mixture on your prepare baking sheet. 6. Bake for 13-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and coat with the topping ingredients. Bake for another 3-5 minutes, or until browning. Remove and leave to cool. Please note, all macros are calculated with My Fitness Pal and may vary on ingredients used.
