Over 40% of combat troops who suffer severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) will subsequently develop post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) and may experience symptoms such as confusion, memory loss, and depression. Dr. Jordan Grafman discusses what causes individuals to acquire epilepsy after TBI, how to potentially prevent PTE, and the state of PTE research.
