I really want to have a lot to say about this song. I mean, it's a rare delisted RBN track from a band that's been around since the 1970s who are still playing to this day; that alone is pretty damn remarkable in its own right. Here's the thing, though: this track is so underwhelming. And I know "Entertainment!" is a culturally significant record that I should probably care to look into having been exposed to this, but I just don't care. "A Fruit Fly in the Beehive" is boring on everything and doesn't really go anywhere. Except into the recycling bin of Microsoft's servers, I guess, because you haven't been able to buy it in probably close to fifteen years at this point. Oh yeah, and both the album art and song title are incorrect in-game. It's meant to be "fruitfly," and the cover's just a squished-up stock photo of the band here with "Gang of Four" written on top in what looks like Century Gothic Bold rather than the proper album art "Content" ended up with. I'm willing to chalk both of these errors up to the fact that the RBN release predates the album actually coming out, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume neither data point was finalized yet. The fact that the album title is also absent from the metadata corroborates this idea, too. Oh well. I saw this CD in the wild a long time ago but passed on it because it was strangely expensive and this song didn't exactly entice me to hear more. In hindsight, I should have just grabbed it anyway. I find myself always thinking that when I pass up weird secondhand finds and yet I still do it sometimes. I never learn. I'm not really sure why this one got pulled, anyway. Maybe Nick can chime in with an answer in the comments if he knows.
