Who is up for a drink? Today I'm cracking into a can of Stumptown Coffee Roasters Original Nitro Cold Brew. Purchased at the local Amazon, so I'm pretty sure you can too. I don't know if this is the new package or an other one because most of the ones I found online to try to dig a bit more into it were the brown and while cans. Hmm. I'm not sure but Stumptown might actually be one of the original commercially available cold brews. Quick review. Very roasty on the nose and a bit on the taste. Pours really clean into the glass after the immense nitro cascade dies off. Very little to no (I didn't see any) grounds making it into the glass, so great filtering job. That great filtering job might be what left the coffee feeling thin. Besides the roast I didn't pick up too much other flavors. It is a completely inoffensive coffee, no real faults. I'm not sure if it was the nitro effect but I was picking up, maybe, an African bean fruitiness. I prefer my cold brew from the Americas. Check it out if you can find it.
