My second visit to Never-Fail pool since October 2025. I have a new 2 weight Euro rod to test (details below). I often use this spot to test a new rod or flies, as it is only a short distance from my parked vehicle. There is not much to say, other than this spot lived up to its name once again. The equipment that caught the fish as follows: The rod is a "Primal" branded, "Zone" model, 10' length 2 weight. The fly line is an Airflo SLN Euro Nymph Comp Special. The leader is 30' 12 lb. mono, to 2' of 1X coloured indicator, to 10' of 3X Fluorocarbon to the point fly. The reel is a Sage ESN Reel. I tie my own nymphs. The fly they took was on the dropper and is a size 12 barbless jig hook, 3.0mm copper slotted tungsten bead. The pattern is my simplified weighted Pheasant-Tail.
