MEET US IN THE DEN : IT’S A BLACKOUT On June 19th, The Lipstick Den Podcast hosted our 1st Open Panel Discussion. THE BLACK OUT! First and foremost we want to acknowledge that per the history books. Juneteenth is the day that our people became free-ish. We say free "ish" because if we were all the way free and served with equality, then we wouldn’t have the need of hosting a panel discussion about inequality, injustice, lynchings and systemic racism in 2020. A lot of us know MOST of our history as far as it dates back to westernized textbooks. Starting from the westernized textbooks, going forward until today, it may seem like we’ve progressed. But have we? We have a journey to take! May we learn and educate others about our society, government, educational system, voting rights and so much more!!! Past, Present and Future!! We realize what’s going on and we will continue to push forward until we are “free” mentality, physically, and financially!! The BlackOut is all about being heard! For our people tuning in, just a heads up, there are no censors as far as language goes. This Open Discussion will be very raw, so we just want everyone to be aware. Hopefully from this conversation, we’re able to realize some things that we may have not noticed before and figure out how we can overcome this wedge as a whole. As a NATION!
