How to make EASY Almond Milk in a Vitamix: • How to make EASY Almond Milk in a Vitamix Recipe Ingredients: 1kg/8cups Organic Raw Peanuts 2tbs Natural Sea Salt (for soaking only) Method Place the peanuts in a large glass bowl (make sure there's enough room for as the peanuts will swell up), fill with warm filtered water and add 2tbs of natural sea salt (1tbs per 500g/4cups). Cover with a clean tea towel or a lid and leave to soak for 12 hours. Rinse, drain and pat dry. Place on dehydrator sheets and set temperature to 50-55ºC/115-120ºF - dry for around 12-15 hours. (Or place on oven tray if using an oven and set temperature to lowest setting and give it a shake every few hours until dry). Place dry peanuts on oven tray and roast on 150ºC/300ºF for 20 mins or until lightly browned. Allow to cool. Place 4 cups at a time in the Vitamix blender, set to low and slowly increase speed to high, then super high, all the while pounding with the plunger/tamper, until peanut butter is formed. Should take between 1-2 mins. Place peanut butter in a mason jar and store in the fridge. Will last for around 2-3 months. That's it!
