Along the Helford River to Port Navas | Cornwall | South West Coast Path

On a clear January day (one of the few in 2026!) we took a walk to Port Navas, a place that had always intrigued me when I saw the name on a map. After starting at Mawnan Smith Church, we headed west on the South West Coast Path, passing peaceful coves and gardens until we reached Helford Passage, where the South West Coast Path crosses the water (by ferry) to Helford. Instead of crossing we instead continued and crossed two more creeks, seeing more Storm Goretti destruction on the way, to eventually arrive in Port Navas.
