This week – we continue our restoration of the centuries-old Servant’s Cottage. We’re currently working on renovating the bathroom in the downstairs hallway and are doing everything we can to give it the cottage vibe we are striving for. Borja removes crumbling old plaster to make way for fresh layers as he demonstrates how thirsty old bricks can get! Who knew? Borja carefully preps the ancient walls while searching out every scrap of historic wood and old beams to craft a bespoke cupboard. And as always – there are maintenance projects that test our patience. Months ago, gusty winds blew out a window in the main house for the third time. After putting it off for as long as we could; we now must shift gears to repair it once again. Amidst all this – Borja proves that entertaining baby Danteo can leave a mark – quite literally!
