Sometimes people are really happy with the end result. But things don’t always go to plan and, in some extreme cases, plastic surgery can even be dangerous. Cosmetic surgery, and the ethics surrounding it, has been a big talking point in Mexico recently. It’s after a 14-year-old girl called Paloma Nicole died, reportedly after having several cosmetic procedures. Her dad claims he didn’t know she was having surgery until after she died. BBC global affairs reporter Mimi Swaby joins us to talk through the details. #Lasniñasnonecesitanimplantes (girls don’t need implants) has also been trending.
