#cyclingjapan #cyclingadventure #bikeride Today I’m cycling into Japan’s mountains for a beautiful ride through the Takao area in Kyoto 🌿 This 15km cycling adventure takes us from the quiet old streets of Kyoto into the peaceful countryside and up a long mountain climb surrounded by nature 🚵‍♀️ Along the way I discover one of the prettiest restaurants I’ve visited in Japan — a traditional wooden spot overlooking a crystal-clear river, where I stop for matcha, Japanese sweets, and a well-deserved break after the climb. 🍵 After lunch we continue deeper into the mountains to reach the famous Takao Bridge, exploring the small villages, forest roads, and rivers that make cycling in Japan so special.
