Join us on one of the top Mount Hood day hikes: the Paradise Park hike from Timberline Lodge. In today’s video, I’ll share the highlights of the Paradise Park hike and everything you need to know to do the hike yourself. The Paradise Park hike has a great variety of terrain types, from forests to alpine meadows. It has great views of Mount Hood and epic wildflower meadows. If you enjoy this video, remember to give it a thumbs-up, and subscribe to our channel for more adventures in the Pacific Northwest. There are a couple ways to hike to Paradise Park. The route we're doing is a 13.4-mile lollipop loop that begins at the Timberline Lodge and follows the Pacific Crest Trail before making a loop through the high meadows on Paradise Park loop 757 and returning to the trailhead. Here is the link to the trail entry on AllTrails so you can find the trail map easily: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/or... This hike is best in mid to late summer, when the snow has melted and the wildflowers are blooming. In this video, we’re hiking on August 12th. There were lots of wildflowers, but also lots of flies! The flies didn’t seem very adept at actually biting, though, so it wasn’t a big deal. I’d recommend checking trip reports on AllTrails and Oregon Hikers for the latest on snow and wildflower conditions.
