Until now we have seen how can we compile our .ts file using tsc and also how can we put a watch on our .ts file.In case even if we put a watch we have to do that on every single file. But if u r working on a large project with multiple files than it wont be convenient to run the commands on terminal every time u make a change to your workspace. wont it be super easy if typescript would provide us with something which will take all of this overhead and do it automatically as per our needs and configurations . So typescript compiler provides us with a configuration file known as tsconfig.json where we can mention all the details and once u run the compiler it will take the lead and execute the tasks as and when required.
