Here I was heading north on the motorway (m2) in my 5 speed manual Honda. I discuss some considerations to take into when going on a road trip. This video shows how climbing uphill can add a bit of stress to your engine cooling system, thus I (always) emphasis on timely maintaince (especially when it comes to fluids). When driving a manual you need to be mindful of being in the right gear. There is no need to be at the top of your rev range, nor at the bottom. In some stretches I had to go to a lower gear (2nd) in order to maintin my speed (or to keep up at the speed limit). In automatic vehicles, leaving it in normal drive mode could suffice. However you do not want to be in a situation where your speed varies, thus your auto transmission is constantly switching gears or gear ratios (if its a cvt). You can select a more aggressive gear ratio to maintain a somewhat constant load on the engine, that will also make it easier climbing uphill. Lastly, be safe on the roads. There is no need to overspeed. Be respnsible when overtaking and do not cut infront of other vehicles.
