Sepsis is among the leading causes of mortality, disability, and healthcare expenditures worldwide, responsible for approximately 20% of all annual deaths. This global health threat affects 48.9 million people each year, including 20 million children and 26 million women. The Sepsis burden is also significantly associated with age, as adults aged ≥ 65 years are 13 times more likely to be hospitalized with Sepsis. _________ Chapter Markers: 00:00:00 Countdown 00:02:36 Ciaran Staunton, Founder, END SEPSIS, The Legacy of Rory Staunton 00:04:40 Hon.
