This is Travels with Dottie. Today, we're taking George to the vet for his big snip. It's a short 1.3-mile journey, but George isn't thrilled about the upcoming adventure. Before heading inside for surgery, we capture a quick shot of George, who is visibly anxious. Though I don't feel comfortable filming inside, I will share George's journey with you. After dropping him off, I'm nervously awaiting the call to pick him up. The surgery goes well, and George comes out a little groggy, ready to rock the cone of shame and recover safely. Despite his dislike for the collar, it's crucial to ensure he doesn't lick his incision site. To keep him safe, I also decided to microchip George, officially making him a "robo kitty." Throughout the day, George gradually perks up, starts eating and drinking, and finds solace in his favorite nook behind the chair. Meanwhile, Dottie deserves a little screen time too.
