Reward of Reciting Holy Quran for Ahle Bait (a.s.) Ali Ibn Mughirah said to Imam Kazim (peace be upon him): "My father used to complete 40 recitations (of the Holy Quran) in the month of Ramazan and after my father passed away I continued this (practice of) completion. At times I am able to recite more and at times less depending on my free time, busyness, lethargy and zeal. Then on the day of Fitr (Eid), I offer one complete recitation to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his progeny), one to Ali (peace be upon him), one to Fatima (peace be upon her) and then to each of the Imams (peace be upon them) until I reach you and I have been gifting one for you ever since I have believed in your Imamat. Then what is (its reward) for me?" Imam (peace be upon him) replied: "Your reward is that you shall be with them (peace be upon them) on the Day of Qiyamah." I exclaimed: Allah-o-Akbar!
