In this video, I share the story behind the Kultela clay planter pot. The idea began in Stockholm at Waldemarsudde, where I discovered the beautiful Jugend-style flowerpot designed by Prince Eugen in 1915. Inspired by Swedish elegance and porcelain tradition, I began thinking about how to interpret that timeless spirit using Finnish wild clay. This is also a personal story — about globalization, my time working in Yixing, China, financial struggles, and how I eventually became a flower pot maker. The Kultela planter pot is not meant to be a fashion statement. It is modest and familiar. Its purpose is to highlight the flowers — not itself. Inspired by Swedish design. Rooted in Finnish earth.
