Walking the Long Way from Oakland to San Francisco

I walked 48 miles entirely on foot over three days, following the edge of the Bay from Oakland to San Francisco — a route I’m calling The Inner Bay Passage. My goal wasn’t to get from Oakland to San Francisco. It was to see familiar ground differently. This path moves through places many Bay Area residents drive through every day, but rarely experience at walking speed. The walk traced sections of the Bay Trail, crossed the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge, passed through Richmond, Corte Madera, and Sausalito, and ended at the Pacific Ocean. This re-edit is quieter than the original. Less narration. More ambient sound. More space for the route itself to surface. 48 miles. Three days. No car. No ferry. The long way between two cities most of us think we already know. There are quiet easter eggs layered into this edit — visual and audio references tucked into the frame.
