‘Indonesia matters to Australia’: Both nations collaborate to transition to clean energy

Indonesia understands the importance of transitioning to clean energy, and collaborating with Australia on this issue will play a big part in strengthening the two countries' relationship, according to Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong. “Strong, prosperous Indonesia matters to Australia,” Ms Wong said during a media conference on Tuesday. “It matters to us, it matters to our prosperity, it matters to our security because Indonesia is so critical to the stability of the region. “Collaborating on that, whether it’s in the context of electric vehicles or renewable energy, that is a big part of the future of our relationship.”
