I feel most safe with brands such as Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton - they are classic, and you can rewind 10-15 years and for all x3, they were desirable then and still are now - so we hope the trend continues :) I avoid brands that seem to go in and out of favour; Gucci, Givenchy, Fendi for example. Next; pick a bag from the brand you have chosen that is a classic shape. The longer it's been around the better, IMO.
