Best Foods for Lung Health Foods to promote lung health Healthy Recipes Meal Plans Healthy Eating Food for Lungs Hey Guys We all know Covid-19 affects the lungs most. Many other complications arise due to the disease but the lungs are the most affected of all. In this video, we will look at some of the foods that will help us to maintain the good health of our lungs. The health of our lungs mainly depends on our habits and lifestyle. It includes exercises and yoga, the environment we live in, and mostly the food we consume. So let's learn about these foods and functions especially during the covid-19 pandemic. Firstly, Turmeric which we all know about and is not new to us at all. The curcumin component present in turmeric acts as an antioxidant in reducing inflammations in the lungs and many help relieve many other diseases like asthma and lung-related infections. We all know how to include turmeric in our daily food. A teaspoon of turmeric in our daily intake is adequate. Secondly, bananas are good for your health. It may be any variety. Bananas are rich in Vitamin C, Potassium, and fiber. The potassium in bananas helps the lungs to contract and expand at an even pace. As an adult, you can have 1 or 2 bananas a day and children can have 1 banana a day. Thirdly, ginger which has a component called gingerol acts as an antioxidant. It may be covid-19 or any other infections, ginger helps reduce the inflammations directly. I shouldn't be saying this, but for the sake of information and knowledge, I am sharing this. Consuming alcohol creates a lot of diseases and out of which lungs are also affected due to its effects. Ginger helps reduce the effects caused by alcohol and it has been proved by a few lab studies. Fourth, green leafy vegetables should be added to your daily diet. It can be any variety. Two cups of green leafy vegetables are advisable and are good for your health. Lastly, add fruits to your daily diet plan. Either apple or guava is ok. If it a homegrown apple, it is good. Otherwise, guava is a more easily available fruit. Guava is rich in vitamin c and phytochemicals which helps in the proper functioning of the lungs. Guava is homegrown and is easily available. But if you prefer apples, go for it. If you include the above-mentioned food in your daily diet, you will be able to recover from covid-19 or any other lung infections as this food will help the lungs function properly in a systematic way.
