Issued through the Бедствие label, this union is like two separate fires feeding off the same desolate wind, each consuming in its own shade of ferocity. Жгут storms forth with a violence that borders on delirium, its riffs snapping as rusted wires, its rhythms intoxicated with decay, showing a snarling urgency that carves deeper into the veins of blackened punk. Штурмовик, by contrast, embrace a more grounded devastation. Their songs lean on repetition as iron boots trampling cold earth, invoking images of steel, smoke, and bleak horizons, as a martial strain of blackened punk , rigid yet corrosive, less frenzied than their counterparts, but equally determined to claw at the listener’s psyche. And in a striking departure, they close the record with a song more aligned with hard rock than in the diseased fumes of punk.
