Through the testimony of pastors and believers, the story highlights the resilience of God’s people as they shine the light of Christ amid unique trials and opportunities. Since 2021, an estimated half a million young people have left Myanmar (United Nations), and emigration rates continue to rise as many grapple with uncertainty about the future. While many have fled for refuge in bordering countries, some—like Silas, Khuppi, Thang Gin, Philip, Van, and Hkawng Dau—have made the difficult decision to remain. These men are pastors, students, teachers, and brothers in Christ. Many serve as faculty members of the Expository Preaching and Teaching Academy (EPTA). In its early years, the Expository Preaching and Teaching Academy faced many difficulties. Enrollment was low, resources were limited, and trained instructors were scarce. Yet through every challenge, EPTA has remained steadfast in its mission to equip church members for a life of faithful service to the Lord. Through EPTA's publishing branch, The Expository Preaching and Teaching Society (EPTS), sound biblical resources are now being put into the hands of Myanmar believers. Myanmar's Christian heritage dates back to the pioneering missionary work of Adoniram Judson (1788-1850). Yet today, Myanmar's Christian population remains small. Churches are few, and biblically sound ones are even fewer. Men like Silas, Thang Gin, and others embody TMAI’s mission to train local, indigenous church leaders. Their deep understanding of their own people and culture allows the ministry to remain effective long after missionaries have departed. EPTA's commitment to train up godly leaders to shepherd Christ's church in Myanmar is a testimony to God's hand at work. In the face of an uncertain future, the story of these men reminds us that our God remains sovereign, even in the midst of trials and difficulties. ► EXPAND OUR REACH: 🔴 Subscribe to our Channel: https://bit.ly/sub2TMAI 🔔 Turn on Notifications 👍 Like this Video. 👥 Share this Video. ✍️ Add a thoughtful Comment. ⚠️ Flag Spam and deliberately offensive or provocative Comments. ► TIMESTAMPS: 00 - Life Shaped by Hardship (0:00) 01 - Khuppi (01:53) 02 - The Expository Preaching and Teaching Academy (EPTA) (04:17) 03 - Van, Philip, and Thang Gin's Story (05:15) 04 - A Student's Testimony (06:45) 05 - Publishing Biblical Resources (08:20) 06 - A Nation in Need (10:13) 07 - A Transactional Gospel (11:52) 08 - Forsaking One's People (14:28) 09 - Hkawng Dau (16:53) 10 - When Crisis Comes (19:59) 11 - Elim Preschool (21:20) 12 - Preaching Christ Conference (23:44) 13 - Hope Amid Crisis (27:38) 14 - How Will They Hear?
