Demystifying the Process of NeuroImaging Procedures in Alzheimer's Disease Research Studies

Her motivation to be involved stems from her desire to help others and increase minority representation in research. As a study participant, Carmine has been guided by support staff through different types of brain imaging scans that will contribute to researchers’ understanding of how a healthy brain differs from one with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. She hopes that her positive experience will inspire others to volunteer alongside her to help researchers find a cure. The video was created through the support of the CADRC, a collaborative effort between Case Western Reserve University, ‪@clevelandclinic‬, the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, the MetroHealth System, and University Hospitals.
