Finally arrived to Philippines, almost got scammed on first evening! Be careful those taxi guys at airport can't be trusted they don't keep their word what comes to price. Stay careful friends, I'm not saying all those guys there are scammers, but it seems like some people can't be trusted there. What a hectic start to Philippines journey. 🇵🇭 Filipino Kindness and Hospitality in Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭    • You Won't Believe How Friendly People Are ...   In short how this taxi scam works: Guy comes to you, if he sees you have grab he will give you better price than grab offers, to lure you in. Then he says to you that car is parked further away and it does makes sense that if his trying to make some extra money alone that he needs to park his car somewhere. So I was like okay that's fine, let's walk. But then as we arrived to his car, then I found out that his not a driver and price that we agreed on was just a bait, taxi will actually run on meter and that can cost possibly 3x what you would pay with grab. It feels like all my trips start out with some struggles that I have to overcome, getting a Sim card was also such a struggle this time.. haha, not the first time (I brought my passport this time, but didn't even need it at the shop) I Feel like I could have done a lot better when I arrived, but I also feel like I learned a lot from this experience, so I will be using that new experience in my upcoming journeys. Also got a haircut over quite long time, but sadly they didn't give head and shoulder massage over there.
