You can get to this version of Vemon if you entered here through beating Area 6. Unlike the Easy version, where Star Fox have to travel to the Andross' base, the start of this level has them already there. Star Wolf, however, interferes and attacks Star Fox with their upgraded ships. Together, they can be the hardest boss in the game, as they can fire their lasers much faster than usual, and they have shields that protect them from your first hit at them, and they can dodge much quicker. Come prepared with Hyper Lasers, and try taking them down with the strategy I used here. Based on the context, the game assumes you've already fought them before on Fichina/Fortuna. It's possible to skip that fight and make this one the first. You just gotta know your routes. wink -------------- After proving that Star Wolf's upgrades were pointless, including my quick badass kill against Andrew, Fox flies solo towards Andross. In this version of Vemon, flying through the corridors to Andross takes a bit more effort, and getting careless here can get you killed fast before you even reach him. When you finally confront the mad monkey man, beat him like you would in my Bad Ending version of this battle. This time, instead of a robot head, the second phase of his battle has him become nothing but a brain with giant flying eyeballs. Destroy the eyeballs, then destroy the back of the brain. Before dying, Andross then proceeds to blow up his base as an attempt to kill Fox with him. Fox appears to have lost hope for his own life, but then his father, James McCloud, appears and successfully guides his son out of Andross' exploding base. You do have to follow James by yourself. Since he flies faster than you, you have to boost towards him to keep up. If you take the wrong way, you'll lead Fox into an exploding hole that instantly kills him. That's a total nightmare waiting to happen. -------------- To this day, Fox doesn't know if that was really his father, his ghost, or just some kind of hallucination. Either way, Andross is dead, and peace is restored to the Lylat System, thanks to the efforts of the new team Star Fox.
