A missing page found? The first York County Minute Book was started in 1786 and includes "lists of deeds proved in open court (required through 1788), estates and wills probated, jury lists, small court cases[…]and many other useful items." The original Minute Book is housed in the Historical Center of York County’s collection, and was laminated with rice paper in 1975. A page has been torn and missing estimated between 1935 and when the book was laminated in 1975. Recently with a donation of various historical documents and old manuscripts, one of our Archivists recognized a page that had a unique tear in it.
